REGISTRATION

Team registrations usually begin around October/November each year, with weekly, winter practices starting November/December. Weather permitting, we might have outdoor practice in November, and then indoor at one of the Force locations starting in December. Team rosters are usually completely filled before January 1... and sometimes much earlier! (example: our 2017-18 girls 7/8 grade team filled up in less than a week!!) It may be possible to register later and get on a team, but this is subject to roster availability, and coach and Board approval.

If you want to play but cannot make winter practices, go ahead and register now to get a roster spot, and just let your coach know about the conflict. Many players are multi-sport athletes and activities outside of lacrosse (what?!) and sometimes have conflicts with basketball, volleyball, hockey, theater, dance, skiing, soccer, etc. We welcome these players, so do not let some conflicts dissuade you from playing lacrosse!

Bay Lacrosse is open to the boys and girls of Bay Village, including Bay residents (regardless of where you attend school), Bay/Raphael students (regardless of where you live), and families with other, significant ties to Bay Village.

If you do not live in or attend school in Bay (or are not a returning BVLC player), we suggest you register for the youth lacrosse program of your home community. Lax is better with your friends! But if your home community does not have a program or if you still prefer to register with Bay, please contact us prior to registration to discuss. BVLC reserves the right to cancel any registration at any time.

Registration Fees

Registration fees cover all indoor practices and field time from December-March (16 practices), all spring/outdoor practices and field time during the regular season from March-May, and regular season tournament registration fees and game/referee fees. Not included are uniforms and other apparel, equipment [sticks, pads, helmets, etc], travel costs, off-season tournaments, etc. For 2023-2024, the registration fees are unchanged from last year.

  • 7-8 Grade Teams, Boys and Girls: $275

  • 5-6 Grade Teams, Boys and Girls: $275

  • 3-4 Grade Teams, Boys and Girls: $225

Players are responsible for their own equipment (sticks, protective gear, etc), a US Lacrosse membership (about $30 or $35), and a uniform. Uniforms are ordered during the winter and cost somewhere around $60-70. Uniforms are good for multiple years, so you only need to purchase one when you start and then again whenever you outgrow an item.

How to REGISTER FOR BAY LACROSSE

  1. US Lacrosse: A current, active US Lacrosse membership is required by BVLC at all times, and you will not be able to register for a BVLC team unless your US Lacrosse membership is effective through May 31, 2023. This membership is required for insurance purposes. A youth membership is about $30-$35/year, and provides numerous benefits...including insurance protection for the player and BVLC. Make sure that you register the player (not the parent).

NB: From US Lacrosse: “If the player is under the age of 13 then the parent first has to make a "parent account" by going through the JOIN phase off USALacrosse.com and hitting Create My Account and then "I am here for a Family Member" and fill that information out as themselves and then after creating that account logging into their User Profile by clicking My Account and they will see a button that says "Add More Members" and that is where they create their child's account and activate their USA Lacrosse ID number.”

  2. Go to our Registration page at TeamSnap (use the "Register Here!" button below) to login or create a TeamSnap account. TeamSnap is the web-based, mobile platform for our team communication and scheduling—it is free, and allows you to set contact information for alerts and team messages, and to subscribe to the calendar of team events. To register you will need to provide some basic information, the player’s US Lacrosse membership number from step 1, medical insurance info, and sign some waivers and other required disclosures.
