New Chest Protection Standards

In January 2021 for goalies, and in 2022 for everyone else, is an equipment rule from US Lacrosse that players must have chest protectors meeting NOCSAE ND 200, a standard intended to reduce the risk of commotio cordis. Shoulder pad/chest protectors that are certified to meet this standard should be marketed/marked as such, and a list can also be found here. Although not required for field players until 2022, if you are looking to buy new pads before then it seems prudent to get one that meets the standard.
